Praying for a home for myself and my 5 kids. We were just evicted and now have no home. I ask that God open doors immediately. ~Candice

I need prayer for me and my kids we have had a lot of death in our family and we don’t know how to process it. ~Jessica

My ex-husband is trying to adopt/take custody of my son, who is biologically not his (and born after our divorce). Financially I need a miracle so I can keep my daughter in her school where she is thriving (and with great friends and support network). I need to be accepted into nursing school and to get my postpartum depression under control so I am successful. I need more financial security and to have my postpartum depression wiped away. I need to not feel like a failure and to find a way to be closer to God, to feel him and know he is there; to heal and trust in Him; and to be able to hear him and follow the path he has planned for me. ~Emily

I’m asking for prayers, I’m a single mother and has been since my son’s birth! We had to move in with my mother and I have yet to bounce back as of getting out of my mother’s house. I’ve diagnosed with cirrhosis and diabetes and haven’t been able to work but I am now enrolled in school. Prayers are much needed. Thanks in advance. ~Berna

I stumbled across this. I have recently divorced my husband and I have a lot of healing from the infidelity and abuse that I went through for 8 years. I tried to fill that hole in another relationship too soon and he disappeared. So now I’m trying to heal from the hurt from both things on top of being strong for my two boys who don’t fully understand what is going on. My middle son has ADHD and is severely incapable of doing the smallest tasks without a fight. I’m worried that it’s something worse than ADHD. He refuses to take his meds.

He is 15 but still acts like he’s 7 but expects privileges of an 18 yr old. I have a 4 year old also, who is being to be influenced by his bad behavior.

It’s almost impossible to find a psychiatrist without a 6 month waiting list and counseling just doesn’t help.

I’m miserable almost daily and constantly worry about what trouble he’s going to get into or what he’s going to break. I need HELP! ~Danielle

Who We Are Praying For

We are truly honored that women are coming to us and trusting us with their prayers. As you continue reading, be prepared…Some of these requests are heartbreaking or hard to read. Single moms are in various places on their journeys through single motherhood and we want to support them wherever they are at. Single moms don’t generally plan to be single moms and this means that most (not all) have a really difficult story to tell. Usually something unexpected happens that makes a woman become a single mom, it is not typically a planned circumstance.

Please read these requests with a gentle, compassionate heart and if you feel compelled, we invite you to pray alongside us.

What We Believe About the Purpose of Prayer  

Here are a few reasons why prayer is important to us at Single Mom Spot:

1. We pray to present our needs to God
2. We pray to honor God with our faith
3. We pray to worship God with our words and the expressions of our hearts
4. We pray to build relationship with God
5. We pray to become the women and mothers that God designed us to be
6. We pray to see destinies fulfilled and lives changed
7. We pray for direction and guidance
8. We pray because WE KNOW that God is the ONLY ONE with the power to truly change our hearts and lives.

How Often Do We Pray for Single Mom Prayer Requests?

Single Mom Spot prays for all of our single moms on a weekly basis–usually multiple times a week. If you send us a prayer request, we will post it here and send it to our prayer partners that will pray over your specific request and this list. We believe that prayer is the most powerful thing that you can do because the bible says that prayers lifted to God in your faith are heard.

Who Do We Pray To?

The women that we have asked to pray for these requests are Christians. They believe and accept the bible as the Word of God, including this beautiful, incredible verse that tells the story of the Christian faith in just a few words:

“For God So Loved the World that He Gave His Only Begotten Son that Whoever Believes in Him Shall Not Perish but have Everlasting Life.”

John 3:16

Another beautiful description of God from the bible:

“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.”
